MercatUS International installs cutting-edge labs at TGen

MercatUS International today announced the installation of flexible laboratory furniture and equipment to expand and upgrade laboratories of the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen).

The expansions and upgrades will improve DNA Sequencing, Proteomics and Bioinformatics laboratories at TGen’s state-of-the-art downtown Phoenix headquarters.

TGen, a non-profit biomedical research institute, focuses on the translation of laboratory discoveries into personalized medicine, developing earlier diagnostics and better treatments for patients with many forms of cancer, neurological and cardiovascular diseases, and infectious diseases.

Based in Carlsbad, CA, with branch offices in Phoenix, mercatUS has worked closely with TGen since 2004, designing and installing nearly 8,000 square feet of research laboratories, using the trademark Ultra Frame furniture system engineered by Symbiote of Zeeland, MI.

MercatUS’s solutions enable TGen to quickly reconfigure its facilities, without lab furniture permanently fixed to floors, walls or ceilings. MercatUS’s flexible architecture provides cubes that accommodate the changing needs of researchers and constant innovation in genomics research equipment.
