Over 65% of our engineering labs are set up using the Symbiote Technical Furniture system, representing over 36,000 SF of space. The system has adapted to our varied requirements and easily changes to accommodate new programs. We design, specify and construct all of our facilities and have been extremely pleased with the ease of use of the Symbiote system in all aspects of our work. To whom it may concern, I had the great pleasure of working with Mercatus International while performing a Control Room renovation at the South Tempe Water Treatment Plant in Tempe, AZ. The Mercatus team was very efficient and helpful during the submittal process. They provided valuable experience and suggestions that resulted in a quality finished product for the client. Mercatus provided attention to the details during the installation and demonstrated great professionalism. Great care was taken to make sure everything was installed correctly and functioned as designed. The installers were very courteous and friendly and they were able to develop a relationship of trust with the client immediately. After completion of the project and startup of the control room, the client requested several additional items to be installed; Mercatus was able to quickly provide product information and place factory orders. The installation of these additional items was done while the control room was fully operational. Great care was taken by the installers to not disrupt the daily plant operations and personnel. Mercatus can complete a project of any scale and still achieve great customer satisfaction. I would be very happy to work with Mercatus in the future on any project.

I just wanted to drop you a note letting you know how impressed I am with the Green Fume Hoods we purchased. Our companies just completed the Arizona State University Psychology Expansion - Phase II that included state-of-the-art lab casework systems. We gave the Mercatus Team some pretty tough requirements. Come up with a console layout and projector system design for our new Global IT Command Center that would act as a working showpiece for us to bring in our clients and investors that would mirror the benchmark we set for ourselves as a global information and electronics solutions leader. All of the work would have to be done while the data center was fully operational. Downtime or any power interruptions would cost millions of dollars an hour. Smooth project coordination with the Avent Team was crucial. The final look had to get a WOW reaction from a very discriminating Chief Executive. And last but not least, Mercatus had to meet our very aggressive budget. Mercatus International did everything they said they would. We are very pleased with the final product and they were great to work with... on what could have been a very stressful project. We highly recommend Mercatus.

The Symbiote lab furniture has been working very well. As anticipated these workbenches addressed our concerns about space limitations and equipment needs.

With the amount of wear and tear that an educational facility sees, we were happy that we came across Shield Casework. Not only is it extremely durable, but we were impressed with the interior construction which has no seams and is easy to clean. In the end, we had a great looking project and a happy client.

Our school was able to purchase an older church building this past spring and we have been working on retro-fitting it to accommodate over 200 students ever since. We received a generous donation to upgrade our junior high/high school science lab and immediately began the design process. Having many years collectively of teaching science under our belts, we two science teachers knew exactly what we wanted. And what we wanted did not exist as pre-fab items plus we had a challenging space to put it all in. So we contacted Bill Rathsburg, with Mercatus to help with our design. Bill came on site several times through the entire process to advise, show us options, and talk us through the process. He was the conduit between the design team and us and kept in constant communication. Bill was very professional and listened well to our needs and desires and then helped make them a reality. Upon install time, Jon Schaffer and Darren Lavery were an excellent team. They were extremely efficient and competent in their work. They were also creative and patiently allowed us to make some on-site changes to better suit our needs. They worked well within the constraints we had as a school regarding times to be on campus without interfering with our instructional times. Jon and Darren returned on site in a timely manner once additional parts came in to complete the job. They maintained a neat work area and left our new science lab in pristine shape. We could not be more pleased with the outcome of our science lab. It has improved productivity, increased independence for our students, and provided a safe environment to teach science. The Mercatus team comes highly recommended by our school and we will have no hesitation to use them again when we expand our fine arts department.

About two years ago, we had the great opportunity to build a new lab from the ground up. After reviewing other lab-bench products and service teams, we went with Mercatus International due to their reputation and quality product. The design team helped us determine appropriate bench configurations and materials. The highly versatile Symbiote furniture that has recently been installed by Mercatus International is already paying huge dividends. During the installation, I routinely asked end users to visit and comment on arrangement of frames, bench tops and cabinetry. During several such walkthroughs, it became apparent that slight modifications would be needed in order to maximize the utilization of spaces to best serve the researchers. These changes were made quickly and easily by the installation crews, averting problems down the road. The versatility and ease of interchangeability of these products is making my job easier both now and in the future. It has been a pleasure to work with the people from Mercatus International. They have been helpful at every step, and I would highly recommend them to others, and will use their services in the future when the need arises.
